Two Years Later

How the time does fly.  We returned to Warren this weekend, and did a bit of 4-wheeling.  We packed a nice picnic and ate it in a field nestled away in the Moosilauke Range.  Elle had a wonderful time.  When riding with me, she agreed that she wasn't sure she liked the idea of all the mud.  After riding with Daddy for a few minutes she decided the mud was the best part!

Mud Season Equals Time to Sprapbook!

So here in NH we are still awaiting springs arrival!  My daughter will inform you that because Mommy would not allow Jack Frost to arrive before Daddy returned from Afghanistan, that old Jack Frost will not leave until he is good and ready!  We went on a search at the library last week for any book that might tell us why Jack Frost is being so stubborn.  We found one story that did lend a bit of insight, Ollie's Ski Trip by Elsa Beskow.  Check it out at your library.  I'll give you a hint though, it has to do with Jack Frost being a bit mean to Mrs. Thaw!

So since we are having such an extended winter, with plenty of sunshine, we might as well ski!  We've skied two Sunday afternoon's at Bretton Woods.  As long time readers know, Bretton Woods is my favorite Mountain, see why here.  With the new terrain they've recently added there is certainly enough vertical to keep the entire family happy and plenty of long gentle runs for those new skiers!

However, in the back of my mind, I know that the good skiing is going to come to an end, and when it does, I'll be scrapbooking with good friends at the Applebrook Bed and Breakfast in Jefferson.  Our May retreat weekend is just around the corner, May 13-15th.  I am so excited, as I know many of my fellow scrapbookers are.  What makes this retreat so nice is that we have the entire inn.  Joy the gracious Inn Keeper sets up the large room, that over looks the mountains, for us.  Complete with large tables and lights!  We each have our own room (no sharing here!) and enjoy Joy's wonderful cooking for three meals during our stay.  The atmosphere is very calm and gentle, the indoor water fall trickles in the background.  It is a wonderful environment for getting some serious work done on the the scrapbook.

I am even more excited to announce that the retreat is fully booked for May.  If you missed out and would like to join us in Novemeber, please call Joy immediately after the May retreat.  She will start accepting reservations then.  Only ten spots are available and they may go quickly.  If you would like to get on the waiting list for May, please post a comment below and I will be in touch with you should someone cancel.

Now it is time to start planning what pictures to print and what projects to work on while I am there!  With all of the new kits, how will I decide?

Happy Scrapbooking.  Enjoy your day.

This sun. . . spring is coming

Have you noticed the morning sun has a different quality about it this week. . .  almost a spring like brightness shining in my kitchen window.  I do believe spring is on its way!  With the coming of spring is our traditional scrapbook weekend,  May 13-15, at the Applebrook B&B in Jefferson.  Retreat to the mountains to get a little scrapbooking done without the interruptions of home.  The folks at the Applebrook offer us an incredible deal for the weekend.  It cost 100 dollars for two nights’ accommodations in your own room, three meals and a full sized table for scrapbooking all weekend.  Call the Inn Keeper, Joy, today at 1 800 545 6504 or look them up online at www.applebrook.com.

I have put together a flyer for the weekend which you can download here and share with friends.  Also think about placing an order ahead of time for all of the wonderful CTMH products you might need to make those pages truly amazing.  Remember, orders of $150 dollars receive $25 dollars in free additional product when booked through me.  You can also order yourself by clicking on the start shopping link above.

Some of you have expressed interest in adding spa treatments to your scrapbook weekend.  The Carlisle Place is a luxury spa located one mile from the Inn.  They are open Friday evenings until 8 and on Saturdays for groups.  Six or more treatments must be schedule to be considered a group.  If you are interested I encourage you to check out their website at www.carlisleplace.net  or call them at 586 – 4100.  If you are interested in a spa service for Saturday, please leave a comment to this post.  If there are six interested people I will contact the spa and set it up as a group.  If you prefer a Friday night treatment, after the drive up, please contact the spa directly and set that up.  You will want to contact them soon to make your reservation.

Snowbound

Today was on of those days when you are glad that you have nowhere to be, except cozy at home.  The kids and I made a batch of chocolate chip cookies and enjoyed a lazy day together.  While the cookies were in the oven the kids ventured outside for a romp through the snow and  a zoom down the snow bank on their sled.  An infant sled that they both have most definitely outgrown, but somehow they seemed to make it work!

The cooks in the kitchen making their chocolate chip cookies!

All this talk about sweets reminds me of one of the new paper packets that debuts today -  Sweetheart!

This is the Sweetheart Workshop On The Go that will be offered in February.

Getting Ready for the Change!

As many of you are aware, CTMH is debuting their new semi annual Idea Book February 1st.  This is a change for the company and those die hard scrapbookers who scrap exclusively with our product.  Here are few details that accompany the change.

My Acrylix Stamps will be available in the current + preceding Idea Book.  This will allow a wide variety of stamps to be available at one time and give you up to one year to purchase your favorite stamp set!

Sophia Collection - Debuts February 1st!

My Reflection Sets will be available in the current Idea Book only. There will now be 8 collections of new paper available in each Idea Book.  My Reflection products will only be available if they are featured in the current Idea Book; however, they will be pulling forward four kits from each Idea Book into the next one, so you'll have a total of 12 kits to choose from at any given time!

Accessories will be available in the Current Idea Book only. Accessories can only be sold if they are featured in the current Idea Book. Many accessories will be retired each Idea Book cycle to make way for new products, but a large number of popular and versatile accessories and tools will be carried from Idea Book to Idea Book. While CTMH won’t be publishing a Retiring List that announces the retirement of each accessory beforehand, they will let you know if an entire category of products is being retired.

Wings Workshop on the Go! Featured in January!

Workshops on the Go will be available in the Current Idea Book + 1 month after.

Retired Items are available for a Limited time on MyCTMH® sites. If you’re looking for a product we’ve retired, you can always check the Discounted Products section in MyCTMH® online shopping. This area is regularly updated with retired items. If you see something you like, though, be sure to snap it up, as many times our inventory of such products is very limited.

Scrapbooking Tomorrow!

Just a few thoughts. . . .

You would think I would have it down to a science, yet each time a Friday night crop arrives, it seems to take me by surprise.  After a little help from daddy, distracting the little one, I was able to get everything packed.  How nice it is to have a second adult back in the house, for a whole list of reasons as you can imagine, but tonight creating distraction for a three year old was just the help I needed!

We are croping with the Magnifique workshop kit tomorrow night.  I can't wait to play with it.  It has beautiful colors just suited for January and especially for all of the wintry white stuff that fell here this week.

Elle is fast asleep as she prepares for her big day of skiing with dad tomorrow.  Operation Military Kids graciously awarded Elle a scholarship for 6 ski lessons.  She is very excited as is dad!  We've pulled out boots and mittens, bitty, little skis and helmets.  I think they are ready!

Here is a little sneak peak of some of the papers that are due out with the new catalog.  The Wings paper packet is a special in January.  If you buy the workshop kit in January you can get some great deals on stamps.  Check out this great incentive sale by clicking on 'Start Shopping'.

One more little peak of what's to come in the new Idea Book.  The Sweetheart Paper Kit.

Just think of all the sweet valentine pictures that can be cropped with this paper.  I can't wait!

Have a wonderful weekend.
