This sun. . . spring is coming

Have you noticed the morning sun has a different quality about it this week. . .  almost a spring like brightness shining in my kitchen window.  I do believe spring is on its way!  With the coming of spring is our traditional scrapbook weekend,  May 13-15, at the Applebrook B&B in Jefferson.  Retreat to the mountains to get a little scrapbooking done without the interruptions of home.  The folks at the Applebrook offer us an incredible deal for the weekend.  It cost 100 dollars for two nights’ accommodations in your own room, three meals and a full sized table for scrapbooking all weekend.  Call the Inn Keeper, Joy, today at 1 800 545 6504 or look them up online at www.applebrook.com.

I have put together a flyer for the weekend which you can download here and share with friends.  Also think about placing an order ahead of time for all of the wonderful CTMH products you might need to make those pages truly amazing.  Remember, orders of $150 dollars receive $25 dollars in free additional product when booked through me.  You can also order yourself by clicking on the start shopping link above.

Some of you have expressed interest in adding spa treatments to your scrapbook weekend.  The Carlisle Place is a luxury spa located one mile from the Inn.  They are open Friday evenings until 8 and on Saturdays for groups.  Six or more treatments must be schedule to be considered a group.  If you are interested I encourage you to check out their website at www.carlisleplace.net  or call them at 586 – 4100.  If you are interested in a spa service for Saturday, please leave a comment to this post.  If there are six interested people I will contact the spa and set it up as a group.  If you prefer a Friday night treatment, after the drive up, please contact the spa directly and set that up.  You will want to contact them soon to make your reservation.

Snowbound

Today was on of those days when you are glad that you have nowhere to be, except cozy at home.  The kids and I made a batch of chocolate chip cookies and enjoyed a lazy day together.  While the cookies were in the oven the kids ventured outside for a romp through the snow and  a zoom down the snow bank on their sled.  An infant sled that they both have most definitely outgrown, but somehow they seemed to make it work!

The cooks in the kitchen making their chocolate chip cookies!

All this talk about sweets reminds me of one of the new paper packets that debuts today -  Sweetheart!

This is the Sweetheart Workshop On The Go that will be offered in February.
